CrossFit Games Open WOD 12.2

Proceed through the sequence below completing as many reps as possible in 10 minutes of:

30 Snatch (M 75 / F 45 lbs)
30 Snatch (M 135 / F 75 lbs)
30 Snatch (M 165 / F 100 lbs)
Max Rep Snatch (M 210 / F 120 lbs)

Games WOD 12.2

After watching folks this morning and doing the WOD, three tips:
1) Pace yourself.  Notice in the original standards video even the baddest are breaking up the reps.  In the WOD this AM, virtually everyone seemed to go out way too fast.  Relax!
2) Be efficient in stringing reps together.  Notice in the standards vid how the dude on the right (Froenig, he’s legit yo) uses the down portion of the snatches to “reload”.  The bar stops in the pocket and his legs drop to reset.
3) Use your legs, even in the beginning.  While it’s easy the muscle snatch (straight legs) and barely power the first weight, start with dropping low as if you’re doing rep 60+.  Not necessarily into a full squat snatch, but enough that you’re not just using your arms and shoulders to get the bar overhead.  This will set you into a good movement pattern that will hopefully hold as you tire.
