We have 3 easy steps to get started. You can start with any step below.
- Stop in and watch a class. Come to any of our scheduled classes, watch what we do, ask questions, and meet some great people. Call ahead to schedule and let us know you are coming (210) 826-7070
- Come try out a class. Look over our schedule, find a CrossFit 1(CF) or 2 class that fits your schedule. Call to make a reservation. Show up. This will be your 1st class! Please show up 15 minutes early to sign a waiver and learn a little bit about that day’s workout.
- It’s as simple as that. At the end of class you will be given a handout that has step-by-step directions on registration, if you would like to continue taking classes. There are no contracts longer than one month and plenty of classes to choose from.
Some people wonder: Are we all crazy weight lifters, endurance athletes or fitness freaks? Are we all, strong, lean, fast people? Will they be friendly? Will you feel strange if you don’t know the secret language of the workouts posted or have never worked out before? Are our Trainers only kind and comfortable with the other people just like them? Will you feel silly because you have never touched a barbell? Is Body Armor one of those hard-core gyms? What if you can’t do any of the things you see people doing in the pictures on the web site? What if you are really shy and terrified of working out?
First of all, EVERYONE is different within our facility.
Our Coaches specialize in their technical knowledge and expertise as well as their ability to support every type of person in achieving their best. Even stronger is our community of members who support each other before, during, and after class. We all, coaches and members, are here to work hard and improve. We look forward to seeing all types walks through our doors. Our challenge is to help everyone improve no matter what their ability or experience. We’ve specifically designed classes that get progressively more challenging so that you can keep learning and improving.
At Body Armor, CrossFit classes will include all elements of fitness of which there are some that will come easily to each of you and some that will come more slowly. If you are reading this and not feeling very fit, we guarantee that there will be something you can do, or some quality you have that gives you an advantage in here over some other people who are more fit than you at this moment. Maybe it is your flexibility; maybe it is your determination or perseverance; maybe it is your ability to make the people around you feel good.
We will never be able to address each and every one of your excuses. What we can tell you is that we have people here every day, getting fitter and healthier who have: less money than you, less time, more kids, more responsibility, more injuries, more health issues. There are people in here every day that we support in moving past the things that seem like obstacles to their fitness. No matter how convinced you are that you have real obstacles for not coming in here and experiencing an increase in your wellness and fitness, just know that there are people in here right now just like you.
The only thing WE require for Body Armor to be the perfect match for you, is that you have the ability to see yourself accomplishing things you have never accomplished before. We want to take you out of your comfort zone so that new levels of wellness and fitness can be achieved.
